[Freeswitch-dev] Build Difficulty
Is there anyway to determine the last windows build without error? I try to download the svn and compile it with VS2008 daily and the last day I was able to get a clean build was 8/2/2008. Thanks
We try to make sure it builds daily. What errors are you getting? Mike On Aug 14, 2008, at 1:29 PM, Robert Clayton wrote:

I realize that I may be missing the revision without error, so I was trying to grab a revision every few hours. But for example if I grab the current revision 9299 and "Build Solution" under VS2008 Professional Edition I get: Under the Error Tab => 216 Errors and 10 Warnings. Under the Output Tab => Build: 66 succeeded, 17 failed, 31 up-to-date, 7 skipped Is there anyway to know the last (win32) revision that compiled without error and just pull that version? I pulled svn trunk when your first email came in and its building fine. Can you post your entire build log so we can see what is going on? MIke On Aug 14, 2008, at 3:27 PM, Robert Clayton wrote:

Ideally, just post your Error list window content (make sure you have the ERRORS button pressed). Otherwise, your build output windows content. Paste that at http://pastebin.freeswitch.org/ (The username and password are displayed in the dialog that pops up). I tested build 9300 under VS2008 and it's working fine. Build: 101 succeeded, 0 failed, 8 up-to-date, 0 skipped 0 Errors and 380 Warnings. BTW, make sure you're building the entire solution and not the the FreeSwitchSetup project. This still needs few fixing. -----Original Message----- From: freeswitch-dev-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org [mailto:freeswitch-dev-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org] On Behalf Of Robert Clayton Sent: Friday, August 15, 2008 9:33 AM To: freeswitch-dev@lists.freeswitch.org Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-dev] Build Difficulty Any specific log? yeah, we do have some warnings in pocketsphinx and shout libraries we just added to the build, I will try to clean those up soon. Mike On Aug 14, 2008, at 11:43 PM, UV wrote:

I appreciate your patience as I am attempting to learn and apply FreeSwitch. Let me describe the process I am doing. After downloading FreeSwitch fron the SVN (currently Revision 9302) I double click in the root directory "Freeswitch.2008" (Microsoft Visual Studio Solution). Once VS2008 opens and loads the code I select Build -> Build Solution In the "Output" tab/window I get "Build: 109 succeeded, 5 failed, 0 up-to-date, 7 skipped" In the "Error List" tab/window I get "91 Errors and 153 Warnings" Obviously I must be doing something wrong. I tried and couldn't replicate your situation. It's working fine for me. In the "Error List" tab/window, push the "Errors" button in, so you'll see each and every of the 91 errors in the window. Select all of them (CTRL-A), copy (CTRL-C) and paste here. I'd like to see what problems you're encountering. -----Original Message----- From: freeswitch-dev-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org [mailto:freeswitch-dev-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org] On Behalf Of Robert Clayton Sent: Friday, August 15, 2008 2:29 PM To: freeswitch-dev@lists.freeswitch.org Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-dev] Build Difficulty I appreciate your patience as I am attempting to learn and apply FreeSwitch. Is there a space anywhere in the path that your source directory is in? Which 5 projects are failing? Try pastebinning the full output tab output as suggested. Mike On Aug 15, 2008, at 12:28 AM, Robert Clayton wrote:

Is there anyway to know the last (win32) revision that compiled without error and just pull that version?

There was a race in the build system in msvc when building with multiple processors. I fixed that one and pushed a patch, but there may be more, try again and report back if you can or join irc (irc.freenode.net #freeswitch) if you have more problems and ask for me and we will do these fixes more realtime.
