[Freeswitch-dev] [freeswitch-dev] channel driver question
I have a question. I am working with a group that is developing some channel drivers for Asterisk. I have been asked to investigate what is involved in porting an Asterisk channel driver to Freeswitch. Are the Asterisk and Freeswitch channel drivers similar or are they distinctly different? Jonathan
they are distinctly different but it's certainly possible to port. The biggest difference is that FS endpoints are based around a state machine and the callbacks for various things differ. The part that glues a certain technology into the code is probably similar. What is the type of channel driver? On Wed, Sep 24, 2008 at 6:35 PM, jonathan augenstine <jaugenstine@gmail.com>wrote:

It is a channel driver for a proprietary telephony board. They are not ready to announce. On Wed, Sep 24, 2008 at 4:40 PM, Anthony Minessale < anthony.minessale@gmail.com> wrote:

For tdm, its probably even easier. Take a look at openzap, particularly the hardware mods. Mike On Sep 24, 2008, at 8:02 PM, jonathan augenstine wrote:
