Hello, Is there any Howto on using Zaptel cards (Digium) on FreeSwitch, I may want to lay my hands on it. Also does FS support Digital card (libpri) as well as (libss7 ?? I know there is a seperate thread running on this and i guess it would be great to have a chan_ss7, libss7 kinda module for FS) If I can get some info on it, I might as well build up the howto and update the wiki . There isn't a whole lot of docs yet, but you can check out http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/OpenZAP . Any other questions on setup, feel free to pop on irc and ask, we should be able to help out. We do have some pri support, it is currently limited to some specific dialects, but we are working on expanding those to more. We do/can not support libpri due to the gpl licensing of that library, however we have a different pri stack. Currently we do not have any open source ss7 solutions but we do have some commercial options, if you are interested, please contact me off list. FS can do virtually of the digital zapatel-compatible cards out there. Cards by Digium, Sangoma, OpenVox, PIKA, etc. have all been tested. Personally, I have a Tormenta2 clone from pbxhardware.com and it works very well. OpenZAP (OZ) currently does NI-2 and DMS100 for PRI, and work is being done on Euro and 5ESS. I don't know the state of SS7 on FS yet but I believe there are some who are working toward it.

Thanks for considering FS. I'm relatively new at it but I think it is fantastic. The FS community has helped me tremendously with getting my system up and running. There are plenty of smart guys who will answer your questions here! -MC
