[Freeswitch-dev] freeswitch for OpenWRT
Hi All, anywone thought about (or have done :) porting of freeswitch for OpenWRT? There is a porting of Asterisk, but if it would possible I'd like to use a switch instead of a PBX on my router (and yes, I prefer the FS approach so I'd like it anyway :). It would be really interesting. cheers, c.
Hi, take and compile - not too hard :) distcc - remote compilation on big pc, finally, you can read at openwrt.org. note - openwrt is not too good as pbx, it have too poor cpu powder, with transcoding (gsm -> ulaw) it can make well 1, maybe max two calls. andy On Tue, 05 Sep 2006 15:53:48 +0100, Cosimo Alfarano <kalfa@bononia.it> wrote:

not see problem, all dev-libs available, if need, pwlib, openh323 too; docs available. 'remote' compilation will work well. i do not have linksys now to test, but i have already compiled some packages for it, so, not see any reason, why it should not work with :) Andy. We currently do not have anything that depends on pwlib or openh323 /b On Sep 5, 2006, at 12:22 PM, AmberVoIP wrote:

i write, "if need". anyway, most of libs is standard and openwrt is possible, asterisk and SER already there :) maybe in 2-3 weeks i will try to compile freeswitch for openwrt. On Tue, 05 Sep 2006 18:29:41 +0100, Brian West <brian.west@mac.com> wrote:

Hello, It appears that one quick and easy way to solve this problem is to start a Google FreeSwitch Group. What do you think Brian? Just keep this open long enough for everyone to move to the Google Group -E
But it is almost same - i subscribed to other lists and there is no problems with requests to unsubscribe. Problem is in freeswitch. At beginning there was subscribtion - 'we will inform you when product will be released'. Many people keep email there and in a time that become a mail list. At least i expected some info and not mail list, and i do nto cry 'unsubscribe me', because interesting in this product :) Andy Amon Ghupta <aghupta@gmail.com> wrote:

Great! It can be done in less than 15 minutes and will address the numerous "unsubscribe me" messages. -E BTW: Can you post a sample-generic FS config that will work with Asterisk.. We can then use as the basis for migrating from Asterisk. Brian West wrote:

Heh, you didn't see what happened when DHH wanted to move his RubyOnRails list to Google Groups. Exactly the same like it was here =))) All the Best! Sergey. Amon Ghupta wrote:

Hello Friend, Please hurry do not delay, this great project is being maligned by something as trivial as a broken inefective subscription removal function. There is too many remove me request, and not enough, "here is how to do this, configure this, troubleshoot this, connect to this type of comments. PLEASE, let us fix this and move to the important task at hand which is FreeSwitch. -E Brian West wrote:
