Attention FreeSWITCHERS, We are going to have a Logo contest for a new logo for FreeSWITCH. We would like that capture the idea that we are connecting things or converging things. The logo will need to be provided in at least 300dpi as big as possible for t-shirts and other such project related material. The logos will be put up and voted on and the winner will receive a 2xFXO, 2xFXS Analog card from Sangoma and a Sweater. Please email your logo designs to me along with your information. The logo will have to be licensed for unlimited use by the project. You can also join #freeswitch-web to talk about related items. Thanks, Brian West FreeSWITCH

Please, check it over here: http://www.istockphoto.com/my_lightbox_contents.php?lightboxID=1285133 (the pictures are in no particular order) Also, the font Jigsaw Stencil-Bold came to my mind, http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/typotheque/jigsaw/stencil-bold/ I think the connected parts suit the theme :) I hope some talented graphics designer can make something inspiring out of this! I loke the globe with the balls, only there are countries instead of communication mediums, a thought I had with that (as I have no artistic ability I can only use words to describe it) was to make it more opaque and behind some creative freeswitch text. -- Trixter http://www.0xdecafbad.com Bret McDanel Belfast +44 28 9099 6461 US +1 516 687 5200 http://www.trxtel.com the VoIP provider that pays you!

Hi, I want to use freeswitch.dll with C#. I tried the DllImport-Function of C#, but I always get DllNotFoundException. Only System DLLs seems to work for me (e. g. kernel32.dll or so). So I want to use the .NET functions already coded in freeswitch. But I cant find the starting point, means I cant find "switch_core_init" call in .NET. How is the usage of these .NET stuff? Any ideas are welcome, Thomas Sluschny

Hi, I have done some mockups for the freeswitch logo, http://freeswitch.2jotas.com/ I have used some of the images I selected from istockphoto.com... I have used the testing images, that is why you will see the watermarks in some of them (the ones I could retouch I did so, to try and make the logos more "real"). If any of you like them or the ideas they convey, please feel free to copy them and improve them!! make a vector image and submit it :) I am not a graphics designer, and I don't have the necessary skills. If one of these logos is chosen, - I will pay for the high-res image from istockphoto, or someone could re-do a similar image royalty-free :) - I would not claim the price, as I would not be able to do the vector image, I would just like to be mentioned somewhere to feed my ego a little bit :D Cheers, -- J. Javier Maestro <jjmaestro@nosys.es> Socio Consultor - Nosys AJjV S.L.
I like logo 5, but if you can move Globe behind the word and put puzzle above S it could look nicer. All the Best! Sergey. J. Javier Maestro wrote:

Hi! Well, thanks for the input, I have tried to get something close to what you said, it is logo 8 now :) right at the bottom of the page, the pity is that the tryout picture of the puzzle-world is originally cut like this: http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup/recreation/games/puzzles/2324735_glo... so I cannot make it fully round, which I think would look much better :-/ If anyone feels like doing the full puzzle-world, it would be really cool :) Cheers, -- J. But even now it looks much nicer! I like it! All the Best! Sergey. J. Javier Maestro wrote:

Attention FreeSWITCHERS,
We are going to have a Logo contest for a new logo for FreeSWITCH. We would like that capture the idea that we are connecting things or converging things. The logo will need to be provided in at least 300dpi as big as possible for t-shirts and other such project related material.
Slight update on this. In order that the logo can be used for very large format banners and such, we will need something final in a vector format so that it can be resized properly without loss. Mike
