Re: [Freeswitch-dev] Porting to Blackfin
So far srtp and a few smaller packages. We are working on sophia now. What have other people done so far with Freeswitch on the blackfin? On 6/5/07, Wojciech Tryc <wojtek@voipman.org> wrote:
Hi, How far did you get? I am the primary developer on astfin which is basically asterisk for blackfin. We are basically supporting David's ip04, as well as blackfin one, stamp and our own baby PR1.

Hi list,
If any of you are interested in porting Freeswitch to Blackfin/uClinux. then please contact me. We have started actively working on this project and would like to set up a conference call to talk about possible collaboration with others and a roadmap.

Hello, I'm hesitation between CallWeaver and FreeSwitch to port to blackfin as for my needs (ATA like stuff) both could be appropriate - asterisk is not an option here. I would be interested in some co-operation, however my time is pretty limited at the moment. Regards, Tamas ps: Right I'm playing with blackfin.uclinux.org toolchain and uclinux-dist environment... Hi, I'm interested in porting FS to Blackfin. I'm working on it, but wasn't able to compile yet. It would be good to join forces and make it reality. My current state: I got over the configuration processes and APR compiled, but I have issues compiling sqlite (in FS trunk) - I have an external sqlite-3.4.1 compiled for bfin but don't know how to tell FS to use that one (I use the --disable-tcl --enable-threadsafe switches) I'm compiling for BF537-STAMP board. How far did you get? Which toolchain do you use? Kind regards, Tamas Shidan írta:

Tamas, Not much was really done, we are all busy with other projects. However, I agree that we should combine our efforts and start moving. I would suggest to use the astfin tree as it's relatively easy to modify to add additional components. Astfin is currently using the latest released toolchain and uClinux (with several patches from svn). Astfin would also allow to use BlackfinOne, IP04, 4FX and PR1 hardware as those boards are already defined I can create a custom branch for freeswitch and we could start from there, please provide me with your sourceforge user ID and I will add you to the project. Hi, I use the blackfin.uclinux.org toolchain and I'm happy with. I tried astfin at the beginning but I lost interest when I wasn't able to compile anything and there were no svn updates for a longer time. This might be my fault as I had not much experience with cross-compiling those times. Now I have callweaver compiled under uclinux toolchain and trying to stabilize and move forward a bit (I still have to learn much, however) on the blackfin.uclinux.org environment. Now I'm trying to build freeswitch with more or less success. Lately I got till compiling sqlite. As I will out of work for a while (till the end of August) I won't be able to work on this hobby project, but later we can continue discussions on helping each other...
