Hello, The documentation on the freeSWITCH website mentions support for Windows Mobile/CE. Where can I find docs, source code and a VS2005 sln for this platform? Do any sample apps exist? Thanks! Maxim.
There was an early port that was never contributed back, I was told it was 90% project file changes, but what we have in tree today will not compile on CE. If someone is willing to contribute this back, I would be happy to have it. I don't have a windows CE device so all I could even do would be the build stuff, no testing of any sort. hopefully this finally works now, but MSEVC comes with an emulator that runs in windows. You can get several rom images as well, although they do have the generic one. This is how I built stuff at one point, infact near as I could tell it was a pain to seperate the two, although some have managed to. I dont know the status of msevc though, since I havent used it in a year or so. -- Trixter http://www.0xdecafbad.com Bret McDanel Belfast +44 28 9099 6461 US +1 516 687 5200 http://www.trxtel.com the phone company that pays you!
I have never played with the emulators, but I do recall seeing one built into msvs pro 2005. Does anyone know if they support audio device emulation? On 10/21/07, Trixter aka Bret McDanel <trixternospam@0xdecafbad.com> wrote:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=1DACDB3D-50D1-41B2-... be free it does sound, network, and a bunch of other things, but a 1M video buffer limit, you have at most 800x600 to work with, and then only 5.0 and above. There are like 5 variants, smartphone doesnt have a touch screen, windows mobile non-smartphone does, there is pocket pc, windows ce, and one other I forget now that are all slightly different. Photon or something is supposed to be the new unified one where they stop making 5 different embedded operating systems and make just one. That is alledgly going to be windows mobile 7, since 6 just came out its going to be a while (based on current release cycles 3-5 years). -- Trixter http://www.0xdecafbad.com Bret McDanel Belfast +44 28 9099 6461 US +1 516 687 5200 http://www.trxtel.com the phone company that pays you!
The issues I have had with the older compilers from Microsoft is their c99 compliance was even worse than it is now... I know that we had working builds with little or no code modification on msvc 2003 (version 7)... but I would doubt it would be trivial for anything older, I know I had issues with version 6 in the early freeswitch days. Can any msvc 2005 express edition users comment on what the capabilities are for mobile in this version of the compiler? On 10/21/07, Trixter aka Bret McDanel <trixternospam@0xdecafbad.com> wrote:

Thanks for the Sunday response. I would gladly check out the current state of the port. If I can make it better I would be happy to dedicate cycles. Maxim.
