[Freeswitch-dev] SpanDSP & ContactID
Hi Guys, Wondering if anyone out there has been successful in terminating a contactID signal from an alarm panel in freeswitch? I see asterisk has an alarmreciever module, that can do it, but much rather it be done in FS? My hope is to take the signal, and dump it to a file, and also be able to do the reverse scenario where i take a file, and create a sender signal to another receiver. If this doesn’t exist, would anyone be interested in the dev work for a reasonable fee? Abe
I have no idea what "contactID" signal is. Is this some sort of modem? Do you have any details on what type of modem it is? Are you trying to bring it in voip or tdm or what?

Hi Abe, I don't know of an existing Freeswitch module that uses the ContactID features in Spandsp. It would be a useful thing to have. Although Asterisk has a ContactID module, the last time I looked it was so poorly implemented it was not reliable on anything but a very clean circuit.
