[Freeswitch-dev] Chunky sound in wav file using Record_Session with RECORD_STEREO=true
Hy all, I have record some calls using Record_session using event_socket. I have done the set variable before : <action application="set" data="RECORD_STEREO=true"/> But when I listen to the leg A in the wav file generated, the sound is really chunky. The leg B is perfect. My Config : I'm using latest svn version on a linux 64 bits server. (Linux x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux) I start call using event socket. Any Idea ? sebastien
Can you give me a few more details of what you're doing. And how you're doing this. I have tested this with the latest SVN revision and I'm unable to reproduce the described behavior. Can you show me a test case that emulates this? /b On Sep 10, 2008, at 10:04 AM, Sebastien Maisonneuve wrote:

My software send commands to freeswitch using mod_eventSocket. Freeswitch send the calls to a SIP Gateway using SIP/RTP. This SIP Gateway communicate with a PSTN using T1 lines ( DMS-100 ) . As soon as the call is connected, leg B play waves files ( playback command pass by event socket ). Leg A is the customer, and can be anything ( somebody listening to the call, Voice box, etc ). sebastien From: freeswitch-dev-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org [mailto:freeswitch-dev-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org] On Behalf Of Brian West Sent: 10 septembre 2008 11:13 To: freeswitch-dev@lists.freeswitch.org Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-dev] Chunky sound in wav file using Record_Session with RECORD_STEREO=true Can you give me a few more details of what you're doing. So its a single leg call.. where you're playing a file to a user? You're not using Bridge? On Sep 10, 2008, at 10:43 AM, Sebastien Maisonneuve wrote:

We are not using Bridge. we are using ( event socket ) bgapi originate <call_url> &park() to start the call. after that we wait the background_job event and take the ID of the session and use it to pass playback commands on the line. sebastien From: freeswitch-dev-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org [mailto:freeswitch-dev-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org] On Behalf Of Brian West Sent: 10 septembre 2008 11:46 To: freeswitch-dev@lists.freeswitch.org Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-dev] Chunky sound in wav file using Record_Session with RECORD_STEREO=true So its a single leg call.. where you're playing a file to a user? At what point do you start the recording? On Sep 10, 2008, at 11:02 AM, Sebastien Maisonneuve wrote:

I start the record_session when I have received from event_socket ALL theses events : Event-Name: BACKGROUND_JOB, Event-Name: CHANNEL_ANSWER, Event-Name: CHANNEL_EXECUTE (Application: park ). sebastien From: freeswitch-dev-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org [mailto:freeswitch-dev-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org] On Behalf Of Brian West Sent: 10 septembre 2008 12:04 To: freeswitch-dev@lists.freeswitch.org Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-dev] Chunky sound in wav file using Record_Session with RECORD_STEREO=true At what point do you start the recording? I need the exact commands you're doing via event socket to reproduce this.. I have tried my best to replicate this based on the information you have given me. What I can't tell is how you get RECORD_STEREO=true on the channel using the method you outlined. I have done: originate {RECORD_STEREO=true}sofia/99.157.44.198/1001 &park +OK 045b4e13-745e-4548-bf2e-99085e4b7eae sendmsg 045b4e13-745e-4548-bf2e-99085e4b7eae call-command: execute execute-app-name: record_session execute-app-arg: /tmp/test.wav sendmsg 045b4e13-745e-4548-bf2e-99085e4b7eae call-command: execute execute-app-name: playback execute-app-arg: /tmp/swimp.raw And I can't reproduce it... Can you give me a sample of the wav file you have that shows this happening? And tell me if I'm not doing something you are. On Sep 10, 2008, at 11:20 AM, Sebastien Maisonneuve wrote:

Finnaly, we found the source of the problem. It come from our SIP gateway that send to FS some wrong RTP. FS was just doing is work correctly, recording the bad RTP coming from our SIP Gateway.
