I'm looking at using FreeSWITCH to communicate with a number of SIP enabled devices (e.g. intercom units, cameras, etc.) and part of what I would like to be able to do is to be able to communicate with some (or all) of the devices in the system in an single
transmission. The sort of situation I'm thinking of is where I might need to issue an emergency message in a section of a building (or indeed the entire building).

There's a Message_Broadcasting section under Features on the Confluence page which has a voice broadcasting topic, but there is nothing documented there.

I've also seen that there is a "sched broadcast" feature but it appears to be designed to allow a pre-recorded message to be issued at a giving time - it doesn't appear to address the need to be able to issue a call to devices
with a live broadcast. It also doesn't appear to allow for a specific list of devices to be contacted.

Have I missed something or is the concept of a live simultaneous broadcast to specific collection of devices not something that FreeSWITCH supports. At the moment, the only
way that I can see this being achieved at would appear to be to set up a conference and ring each device in turn and add it to the conference when it answers, and then allow the transmission
to go out once all the devices have joined the conference.

Thanks in advance for any replies.
