Also, fwiw, you can't really disable UAC in Windows 8. The only option that exists is to disable the UAC prompting, but even after doing so the underlying framework remains intact.<br/><br/>The only way I've ever seen to get rid of it completely is to disable it in the registry...but doing so purportedly actually breaks certain functionality of the operating system. If you have some ideas that could improve it, please feel free to file a Jira with your improvement thoughts - or even better, attach a patch. This is a community driven project, and we're open for everyone that wants to help out.<div>
