<div dir="ltr">Compiling is one thing, but packaging is another thing :) it is nice to use packages because it keeps the system clean when you want to make changes, when you want to install updates.<div><br></div><div>Besides - packages can be shared in repositories so that the effort of compiling new versions is not duplicated.</div>

Installing freeswitch on a raspberry pi is absolutely no different than any other linux system… I downloaded, Compiled and ran FreeSWITCH without incident. It just took a long time to compile. Its always best to actually try something you may be shocked in the results. ;)<br>
