The problem got solved, it was related to FreeBSD platform. I am running the FS on FreeBSD and there is a parameter "default_linemode" which is needed to be passed to the wct4xxp module of dahdi (wct4xxp is the driver module in case of Digium 8 Span card).<div>
<br></div><div>I made a little change in the base.c file in the source of the wct4xxp module as follows:</div><div><br></div><div>on line 196 which says : static char default_linemode[] = "auto";</div><div><br></div>
