Hi Tshepo,<br><br>Welcome to FreeSWITCH! Hold on tight - telephony and VoIP are a wild ride. :)<br><br>To make calls out to the PSTN you'll need some sort of connectivity, usually a SIP trunk. Do you have that? If so we have a number of pages on our wiki that are dedicated to assisting with specific providers:<br>

If you open conf/vars.xml you can set the default_provider variable and it will use whichever provider you create. We have default dialing for NANPA numbers. Look in conf/dialplan/default/01_example.xml for those. Modify as needed. Lastly, drop by the #freeswitch channel on <a href="http://irc.freenode.net">irc.freenode.net</a> if you want some real-time help.<br>
