either way, just to clarify, here's my 2cents<BR>

use it with 'make' command<BR>
e.g.<BR>

make -j4<BR>
<BR>
will use 4 cores for compiling<BR>
if there is a make command in bootstrap.sh it may be passed there.<BR>
configure and bootstrap are just scripts to organise things. I haven't looked inside them whether either calls 'make'.<BR>

The -j4 is a compiler flag, so it probably just passes through to the compiler without being touched by the shell script. <BR>

I looked through the bootstrap.sh code, and it appears that the trailing digit in the above example is ignored? Or am I missing something?<BR>

I was thinking/hoping it was a way to specify the maximum # of background processes that get created. At this point I assume it is just an error in the wiki.<BR>
