This sounds like it just wasn't compiled. Try manually compiling the module.<div>cd /usr/src/freeswitch && make mod_file_string-install</div><div><br></div><div>Make sure you edit modules.conf and uncomment the mod_file_string line to enable this to be built upon every 'make current'<br>

After updating a FreeSwitch installation against the repository today I see this error in the console on startup:<div><br></div><div>switch_loadable_module.c:928 Error Loading module /usr/local/freeswitch/mod/mod_file_string.so</div>

Please let me know if I'm an idiot or if you prefer I enter this in Jira or just think I should comment out mod_file_string in my modules.conf.</div>
