with 1000hz timer you don't need timerfd but it won't hurt.<br>
Its very dependant on the motherboard and cpu etc.<br>

Right now I can't even get FS to compile on this platform. It can't find the libssl and I have all packages installed. Like it finds it, but complains that those ones are incompatible perhaps coz they're 32-bit and I'm trying to compile it using the 64-bit switches fed to the configure switch. Ugh...wasted so much time on this :(</font> </div>
