Samuel,

I would use mod_easyroute for what you need to do.

Setup FreeSwitch as your SBC with the mod_easyroute routing each did number to different ip's for each conference server as needed. Plus, you can
also control the number of channels for each conference by DID number. You just need to make sure your FreeSwitch SBC is set for bypass_media=true.

FreeSwitch (SBC) +--------------------------- Conference Server 1
+---------------------------- Conference Server 2
+---------------------------- Conference Server 3
+---------------------------- Conference Server 4
+---------------------------- Conference Server 5

You should be able to get about 4000 channels up running on the SBC using a Dual Core 3Ghz machine. You can find more information
for mod_easyroute here. http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Mod_easyroute

Norman Tomlins
Voice Network Inc.
http://www.VoiceNetwork.ca
I receive my calls via SIP and I can bypass the media. I'm really thinking about the second solution.

Thanks,

Samuel Macedo
