I tried inherit_codec and while it does what you say it can't handle<br>
cases where the endpoints are incompatible:<br>

A leg (PCMU only) -> B (PCMA only) = INCOMPATIBLE_DESTINATION<br>

My method would allow me to *always* present at least one compatible<br>
codec AND place it at the bottom of the SDP offer. If the B leg<br>
happens to be compatible with more preferred codecs it can use them<br>
with no transcoding. This is all (of course) assuming I can set this<br>
using absolute_codec_string and FS will transcode for me across these<br>
two channels using my common codec when required...<br>
