In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <855a5155c92947e4882d4aa306cae633@enghouse.com> We had the same problem with FS 1.10.1 on Windows. I found a compiler switch: HAVE_OPENSSL_DTLSv1_2_method. Adding this to the FreeSwitchCore project file for Visual Studio, and recompiling, fixed the problem. It tells FS to use DTLS v1.2. I have never compiled FS on Linux, but I guess there are Makefiles that can be modified, possibly after some configure procedure. Best regards, Jaan From: FreeSWITCH-users On Behalf Of MARAND, Remi Sent: den 28 februari 2020 13:32 To: freeswitch-users at lists.freeswitch.org Subject: [Freeswitch-users] Help for Google Chrome version 81 & FS. We use Freeswitch in the case of a SIP to WebRTC application and it is a solid and reliable solution. When we test calls with the sipjs.js library (V0.15.10) and Freeswitch (FreeSWITCH Version 1.8.5-6-31281a0bf1~64bit (-6-31281a0bf1 64bit) + Debian 9, with the beta version of Chrome, Version 81.0.4044.17 (Official Build) beta (64-bit), we observe a notification on the javascript console : "[Deprecation] Your partner is negotiating an obsolete (D)TLS version. Support for this will be removed in M81, around March 2020. Please check with your partner to have this fixed. » The Wireshark trace shows that the DTLS-SRTP exchange is done with DTLSv1.0. What would be the version update to do on the Freeswitch side (or Debian) to avoid this deprecation ? Is there a configuration to do in our current version? Best regards. I'd like to find or create something that notices and logs these issues immediately, before potentially weeks of customers experiencing degraded service. Before I re-invent the wheel, I'm asking if someone has a wheel around. I looked at these particular PCAPs and the ringing is quite clear to hear. Is there some scripts around that can flag calls, either based on simply the CDR or even with the PCAP as FAS? (e.g. FAS calls will rarely be over 2 minutes.) (Although, apparently there's many types of FAS. One more is to play a ring tone for 10-20 seconds and THEN try to connect the call. That way they get at least free 20 seconds of billable time and then proceed with business as usual.) https://blog.kolmisoft.com/fraud-false-answer-supervision-fas/ mentions key indicators in the CDR, but this isn't enough to definitely pin it as FAS. This could also occur upon reaching voicemail. - Short phone calls. - A caller which hangs up nearly 100% of the time. - High answer seizure ratio. - Lower ACD. They also mention this, which is what I'm interested in: "RTP audio signal processing: detection of voice, silence or ring-back tone." Is there some simple way to detect ring tones in the audio playback (which I might have to cut to ensure it's after the billing has actually started if the audio ring tone was passed in band) Thanks, -Avi Marcus BestFone -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... FreeSWITCH supports new version of DTLS required by Chrome. To use it, you must: 1. Run recent version of openssl (1.1.1 or above will be definitely OK) 2. Run recent version of FreeSWITCH (> 1.8 is OK, not sure if this change has been backported to earlier versions - could be) By default new DTLS v1.2 is used on recent FreeSWITCH, though for backward compatibility there is a switch variable "legacyDTLS" introduced. This can be set to true to run version 1.0. kind regards, Piotr Gregor Software Engineer M: (+44) 07483 866 525 www: dataandsignal.com On Mon, Mar 2, 2020 at 1:49 PM Jaan Kaja wrote: > We had the same problem with FS 1.10.1 on Windows. My question is: when should I do it? What I am doing now is to check it before asking caller for feedback or querying a Web Service. Does it make sense? It bothers me that the code gets really cluttered b the constant checking (LUA code layout does not help either). I am very aware this is not exact science, I just want to know the opinion of more experienced people out there. Thanks! At this stage, the "transit FS" sends also OK without the received called party name, and then the behavior of the two internal PBXes is different: - When the internal PBX is FS, the transit FS generates INFO message and places the updated called name in X-FS-Display-Name field. - When the internal PBX is Cisco, nothing is sent, thus the true called name is not displayed. In principle sending the URI of the image does not help me much as it is similar to the system I currently have (although I could avoid the push notification). The idea is to try to send all the content of the image in the SIP message and thus avoid its storage on disk. I am going to investigate how to do it through the body of the SIP message since by size I assume that it will not be able to be sent in the header. Any other idea or example of how to do it is welcome. While curl does its thing I want to do something else (e.g. playing back some music on hold to the caller).  I am trying to do this in pure LUA (no ESL - the only reason is that I did not know ESL existed at all when I started this project and now it is too late to go back). So, I've been texting with the following scrip which simply executes an external script which is using mod curl.  I woud expect some session variables to be set but it does not seem to be the case. I use a for loop just to check every few seconds the existence of the session variable. I would like this customer to connect to me directly not through the SBC. I have created routing between the Freeswitch box and my registrar server. I have also created the entry in the /etc/hosts file. When I ping the server I get the correct response back. The issue is that Freeswitch is ignoring the /etc/hosts entry and doing its own DNS resolution. How can I tell freeswitch to honor the /etc/hosts file entry first then use DNS? For more insight, see: https://github.com/signalwire/freeswitch/blob/master/libs/sofia-sip/libsofia-sip-ua/sresolv/sresolv.docs As far as I know, there is no way to get sresolv to use /etc/hosts. Your best bet is to run a DNS cache of your own (e.g. dnsmasq) and alias the desired hostname there, then put that in your DNS query resolution path. -- Alex On Wed, Mar 25, 2020 at 05:04:44PM -0400, Joli Martinez wrote: > Hello, > > I have a customer that has a VPN tunnel to my network. Question for experts Message-ID: Hello, I am making a conference with 100 participants, on an 8-core server, 16 gigabytes of ram dedicated to my freeswitch. 98 participant are in mute mode and only two participant active. 8 times out of 10 the conference does not work. (very poor quality hatched audio) 2 times out of 10 the conference works for a few minutes then becomes unstable. (very poor quality hatched audio) A htop at that time shows that all the cores are used but not more than 30%. There is also plenty of memory available on the server. I have already found a solution, just put interval at 60. With this the conference with 100 participants and only 2 active works. I have many qustions 1) It's strange, the conference with all the members in mute attribute, shouldn't it normally do nothing? Mute members should be transparent when it comes to mixing, is that just broadcast? ( conference data = 66123 at 000++flags{endconf|nomoh|mute} ) Did I make a mistake in my profile? Is it normal ? 2) Is there an easier way to broadcast? That is, a call that "talks" to 90 calls? My idea is to make a conference with 2 or 3 participants and to broadcast this conference to all the other participants since he is not speaking. many thanks to you for your advice and ideas.
