[Freeswitch-users] Freeswitch PRI support

So how does this GSM stuff work in the USA? Would I got buy a cell phone
plan from someone like AT&T or T-Mobile, and then insert the SIM into these
devices. The device would then covert the audio from GSM to SIP, and then I
could use it like a SIP trunk?

What is the advantage of doing this over just buying a pure SIP trunk from
an internet provider?
