[Freeswitch-users] How are you using FreeSWITCH?

*Who:*
Phonologies (India) - and its 4 resellers (to be precise)

*What & Where - 1*
InterpreXer, VoiceXML IVR Server based on FreeSWITCH (
http://www.phonologies.com/interprexer.php) for Windows and CentOS Linux.
Being VoiceXML based there are a wide range of applications like
Auto-attendant (dtmf and speech based), RxRefill, voicemail recording based
ordering, outbound notifications/reminders, click-to-call, fund raising
campaign apps, etc. Think everything VXML (open standards) + Open Source!!
This creates an easy environment to port over from other VXML platforms.
Our implementation (mod_phono) makes FS handle only SIP functions in
addition to making it run in bypass_media mode), thereby invoking a
VoiceXML session on our interpreter. That way we separate handling of VXML
and media (playback of prompts/recording/MRCP) independently of SIP.

*What & Where - 2*
MRCP based Answering Machine Detection Server for Windows and CentOS Linux.
Extracted mod_amd from FS and created a plugin for UniMRCP. The created a
high performance and accurate AMD Server (for MRCP) to detect Human, VM,
Answering machine and Fax for use in outbound campaigns.

*Thanks to FreeSWITCH:*
- created an amazing opportunity for us to deploy in HA environments.
- support more or less every proprietary HW / gateway / CTI boards
- for future to build integration with Skype for biz, GoogleTalk and WebRTC
