[Freeswitch-users] Audio energy detection on a given channel

The scenario is to detect hangup from the PSTN side, it sometimes takes up
to 90 seconds for the call to drop and during that time we continue to
receive RTP frames so rtp_timeout wont work.

I'm looking into VAD as suggested by Piotr but that looks like a CPU
concern so far. We get user indication that the call is mute so activating
VAD mid call instead of having it for all calls would be the perfect
solution.

I'm preparing a scenario to test the TALK/NOTALK events to see how it goes.
