[Freeswitch-users] Overriding SIP cause 480 with 500 Problem

documentation has an example of handling a failed bridge attempt and under
certain conditions using the respond app to better control what the
initiating side sees. It might be worth your time to investigate whether
that technique could be useful in your situation.
