[Freeswitch-users] Directory to recompile FreeSwitch?

Ok, so my best guess is I need to follow the instructions for "Build From
Source" on this page:
https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/Debian+8+Jessie

Question is, once I do that will my configuration files get replaced?
