Can you send us the patch for the code you changed?
mod_openh264 is not as actively updated since we use mod_av for all the
video codecs but if you have a patch you should be sending them in as pull
requests.

That experiment should show you that virtual machines do not really perform
the way the say they will.
Its not recommended to run video transcoding in such an environment.
