Hi.  I am noticing that if a library is missing in building a module,
you don't get the error till the actual compile phase -- should not the
config script check and give you the error then -- would save a lot of
time, in my opinion.  It would have to consult the modules.conf, and
check the dependencies -- this is the way most packages do it these
days.
