You write in your Jira rolling back to an old version fixed the issue, you may want to see http://git-scm.com/docs/git-bisect and narrow down which commit introduces the  problem.
Also make sure to test with latest Master.

This bug is having a large impact on our switch, does anyone know a workaround ?
Audio is coming all garbled , making the TTS unusable.
