I know this is an old thread but I'm considering different ways of
implementing this in a more user friendly way. I know ultimately we're all
competing companies in one way or another, but still.
It's an interesting one, different ways of implementing the same thing.
1) Adding a new Caller ID Type to mod_sofia that sets ani as expected. This
is probably the most difficult method
2) Writing a Lua script to use as an event hook or dialplan module to
update ani to the expected variable. I'm not sure this has access caller
profile though
3) Write a dialplan module a la mod_translate that moves bits around in the
caller profile. Perhaps we could collaborate on a BT specifics module in
contrib?
Thoughts?
