To Freeswitch users,
I currently consulting to a client in UK where they could potentially move off their current proprietary IVR to either an external hosted IVR supplier or keep it in-house with a more modern IVR.
I am putting together a proposal (in basic terms as follows) and wished to get some "real-world" feedback:
2 x new servers
Each with:
Freeswitch (latest stable release)
Windows 7 Pro (minimum) - It has to be Windows (initially) since they are a "Windows house" still
Sangoma 16 x E1 PCI-express (with echo cancellation DSP daughter board) TDM card (A116DE)
Scripting language on Freeswitch preference: Lua
My questions are as follows:
1) Has anyone used Freeswitch with this level of density on Sangoma TDM hardware (ie. Potential for 480 concurrent calls)?
a. Does the Sangoma DSP echo cancellation daughter board get fully utilised by FreeSWITCH (via the FreeTDM interface) - ie. Offloading DTMF detection etc...?
2) Would there be any issues in using Lua with potentially 480 concurrent calls?
3) Can anyone suggest a minimum hardware spec for this (CPU, memory)?
I appreciate any assistance on this topic so that this project can get off the ground.
Kind Regards,
Andrew Keil
