There's nothing that would prevent it working, just development time.

The module runs a server process to authenticate the licenses. That would
require porting to other platforms (eg Windows). While that's possible I
don't think the expected income vs the cost of that development work makes
it worth porting at the moment, but I'm sure if there were a big need for
Windows support a bounty could be agreed.

The module and license server are not open source, for obvious reasons, so
only the core developers would be able to do the porting work.
