It does have G729 support. Which module you use depends on whether you need
transcoding.
Use mod_g729 if you don't need transcoding (passing the encoded audio
straight through, both phones speak G729).

Use mod_com_g729 if you need transcoding (one phone won't speak G729, or
you need to read/generate audio on the server, eg for IVR). Licenses are
$10/channel, from www.freeswitch.org

(There's also support for a Sangoma card that performs the transcoding in
hardware)
