Not everyone hates windows, but why exactly are you embedding FreeSWITCH in the first place? It really wouldn’t give you much more access vs just using it out of the box in most cases… either way the proper place to file issue reports is via JIRA located at https://jira.freeswitch.org, You can signup for an account for all our public services at https://auth.freeswitch.org

I personally compile and test with windows fairly often.
