[Freeswitch-users] ESL initial data format at connect

During the outbound ESL handshake, I am issuing the connect\n\n and receiving the initial CHANNEL_DATA event as key value pairs (plain).  Is there any way to get this as json?   If I issue the 'event json all' command prior, I'm getting everything after this initial data as json, but not the initial data.

I'm hoping it's something simple in the xml.conf file or a default.
