Yes, but only the raw protocol so it would not be very robust.

"\n" inserted where carriage return would be

telnet 127.0.0.1 8021

auth ClueCon\n
\n
events all plain\n
\n

There is an example perl script in tree that just streams events that would
be a better idea.
