[Freeswitch-users] Can FS benefit from multicores processor Linux?

Hi,
yes you can increase the number of handled sessions of a FreeSWITCH box
increasing the number of cores.
When the number of cores is high (i.e. 24 or more) you have also to pay
attention to the power of single core: if the network adapter distributes
the interrupts among few cores, these can be overloaded (as the attached
image).
You have to chose the nic adapter based on how good is in a multicore
environment (i.e. support of coalescence and PCI MSI-X).
