And YAY the repo has been fixed! We had a little SNAFU in the repo
config with the addition of jesse... Things are back to normal now...
Have at it guys

Ben, what Micheal is talking about (passing patches upstream) is
a prerequisite to what Karl is talking about (getting into the main
Debian repositories)
We can't do the latter without the former.

Yep and I'm trying to figure out why... Currently
everything is getting rebuilt, but as I said this takes several hours of
processing time to complete and then I will reset the repo

I see 1.2.12 in the pool, but it isn't listed in
the Packages file so apt doesn't find them.

We have no excuses to not keep our repo
up to date. If this still isn't resolved let me know please.

Indeed, having our own repo is adequate,
but as mentioned earlier, it's not been kept up to date. Because it is a
lot of work even just to maintain what we already have.

Thats correct, every time someone comes
around suggesting we get package in the distro repos, I mention this
needs to get done first and if someone wants to do the work on that then
we can discuss what else is necessary to get packages upstream, and them
everyone realizes its a lot of work and wanders off without offering to
help, so it probably will never happen. I'm not sure it actually adds
any value anyways.

Last I heard there were concerns around some of the custom patches to
upstream libraries used in FreeSWITCH that was blocking getting packages
into the official repo?
The other issue is by getting into debian repositories, we're pretty
much obliged to backport security patches between debian releases.

There was no discussion of Debian accepting packages or not. So, yeah,
I would have missed that point.

They're making lots of progress in this area. Of course, any help is
welcomed.
