I suspect that you may have modified the example configs to the point where
they are not putting anything into the local database. In any case you can
test some of the commands right from fs_cli. See this wiki
page<https://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Mod_hash#API>for details, but
here's a simple insert command:

hash insert/my_realm/foo/bar

Try that and then do hash_dump and see what shakes out.
