Hi Jimmy,
Could you possibly give a bit more information about what you are trying to
do, as I'm not sure what you mean by "what is the role of the app server in
FreeSWITCH".
Generally speaking, you can make FreeSWITCH act as any role you wish, as
long as it's functioning as a B2BUA.
