[Freeswitch-users] Setting Channel Variables with strange characters

If I want to set (or export) a channel variable that has special 
characters, such as punctuation marks, how is it done?

eg.

<action application="export" data="sip_h_pop_url=http://www.google.com"/>

is illegal
