[Freeswitch-users] setting up freeswitch on virtualbox configuring Localconnections

Thanks Steve,
Host adaptor works when I ssh (@192.168.56.255:22) into it but still times out when attempting  5060. "Failed - Request Timeout" from FSComm.

any ideas?

thanks
-B

You should still be able to communicate between the host and guest over a bridged network since the packets will never actually leave the host machine (I think).

If it is an issue use the host-only network option as that'll be a network completely separate from the locked-down LAN so you'll have full network access to the guest from the host.

My problem is that I am in a network that doesn't allow UDP in the  network.  I suppose I could bring a router to work... but that's really not ideal. Plus if you're on a plane you really can't test it out end to end.  (using a bridged adaptor would simply just timeOut)
