Brian,
Thank you for the reply. The phone is Cisco SPA504G with firmware version 7.5.2.
Thanks.

Polycoms allow you to send a message to a phone via XHTML or SIP SIMPLE message depending on the phone. Some other venders allow something similar. That would be the most reliable and/or cleanest. Alternatively you can send the call to an extension for a split second then as the bridge fails (timeout expires, no one picks up) you can failover to the IVR. What is the make and model of the phone you are sending the call to and the firmware revision? We can give you a better answer if we know.

Hi all,
We are considering to replace current PBX with freeswitch. I am new to this topic - and find that freeswitch is fantastic. Now I have a question - I setup the freeswitch to transfer to IVR extension when the main line number is called. Our current PBX first rings an extension (to allow the caller information displayed on the phone) then plays the IVR. I want this functionality in freeswitch too. How can I do so?
Thanks in advance.
