[Freeswitch-users] FreeSWITCH Release Announcements, Release Notes and Change Logs?

Those seem good suggestions...

Releases are regularly but not -that- frequent. A blog post for each one is
perhaps a little much, but a website page (eg RSS) listing the current
version and release history could be useful.

I suspect you can pull a RSS feed of tags off fisheye...
