Ken,

That works as well… but the name in conference list still gets set as “OutBound Call” :(

conference list

Conference 3100-10.170.57.177 (1 member rate: 16000 flags: running|answered|enforce_min|dynamic|exit_sound|enter_sound)

25;sofia/internal/18053350#2075563963 at bridge.com;157b493f-e724-411f-b461-de02b82af0c6;Outbound Call;18053092350#2075513963;hear|speak|floor;0;0;0;300

Thanks, again I’ll check the source of mod_conference to see where it is getting set, I just want it to show the clidname

Regards,

Stephen

hey dont over thing it, but do soemthing like this

originate sofia/profile/exten at remote.conf.com <mailto:sofia/profile/exten at remote.conf.com> 3000 XML default clidname clidnumber

where 3000 is an extension in your default dialplan for the conference... this will let you do a few more tricks then say just the conf outcall

Ken, thanks I’ll play around with originate some, and crack out the 3 FS books, I’m conceptually missing something.

So I have a conference going that is accessed thru dialplan by 75XXX at xx.xx.xx.xx <mailto:75XXX at xx.xx.xx.xx> The local video conf app creates and connects users here

sofia/internal/xxxx at confservice.com <mailto:sofia/internal/xxxx at confservice.com> <-- is another videoconferencing system (non freeswitch) I want to make outbound call to.

I don’t have any normal phone extensions registered. So to get the 2 conf bridges connected The

“conference 70576 dial sofia/internal/xxxx at mydomain.com 207XXXXXXX FREENAME” seems to technically work aside from name of Outbound Call in conference list.

To use originate am I making 2 calls and bridge them together somehow?

I tried originate sofia/internal/xxxx at confservice.com <mailto:sofia/internal/xxxx at confservice.com> &bridge(75XXX at xx.xx.xx.xx <mailto:75XXX at xx.xx.xx.xx> ), and I number of variants and getting ‘Waiting on external entities”

Think it is looking for a registered extension here.

I am able to park the call to external conf bridge, now I need to read up and see how to get that parked call into conference.

I’ll dig in to books tomorrow to figure out.

Thanks again.

Regards,

Stephen

Why not use the originate command instead of conference dial... This will allow you to set the callerid on both legs...

Something like originate sofia/whatever/xxx at mydomain sorta thing

I’m working to make some out bound calls from mod_conference using fs_cli

conference 70576 dial sofia/internal/xxxx at mydomain.com 207XXXXXXX FREENAME

I have been able to set caller-id-name, caller-id-number fine which the receiving end sees no problem in their switch..
But the command sets the name in the conference to “Outbound Call”

If I dial out to 3-4 people, I see multiple “Outbound Call” in my app that uses ESL to get name. The name is sent fine to receiving end, just not used by mod conference.

Conference 77657 (2 members rate: 16000 flags: running|answered|enforce_min|dynamic|exit_sound|enter_sound)

Is there any way to get caller-id-name to appear in conference instead of “Outbound Call”. I looked at channel variables in wiki, but cant seem to find one to use to overwrite the “Outbound Call”

Thanks in advance.

Stephen
