Some places actually require clid to be allowed from the customer.  Clid spoofing is a problem yes but its not that big of one. Not to mention billing customers based on that is a problem its still easy to spoof.  Its like billing on.customer inserted tech prefixes which is ripe for abuse.

The real fix is to start linking back to billing info (btn) like is/was done on tdm networks and you can still properly track things
