There's CHANNEL_HOLD and CHANNEL_UNHOLD messages
And take a look at http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Misc._Dialplan_Tools_verbose_events
Is there a member-id var bind on channel? I only see it on conference::maintenance messages, not sure though.

Is there any way to get the callstate messages to include custom variables? This would fix the problem for me.
