see http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Installation_Guide#CentOS this is a list of required rpms, everything else on centos 6 should install by dependancy from there. once you have that list of rpms installed, start from clean source tree and bootstrap, configure and make install as per the instrucions on that same page on the wiki... if you are still not building on centos 6 you have some other error in you build enviornment... centos 5 and 6 are heavily used for running and devloping freeswith
