[Freeswitch-users] curl cert question

Hi, 

When I tried mod_httapi which using libcurl and I successfully made https work, but has a few questions:

1) Why a private key is needed since when you use a browser to https doesn't need a private key in the client side?

2) Even if both private and pub key is needed, shouldn't it matches what on the server? I tried with nginx and set totally different key pairs and it still seems work.
