you probably have something that interferes with /dev/dsp
check that you have no modules *snd* loaded and that /dev/dsp is correctly
created by the script
no alsa no nothing
no problems with skype client whatsoever
folow strictly the wikipage for skypopen, use only supported OS, do not
install anything sound related (alsa, oss, portaudio, whatever) and you're
gold.
eg: follow the wikipage, Luke (or the source, if you're brave ;) )
