What does SDP data have to do with the SIP listening ports?

The problem you could run into with using NAT rules for this is if the UA on
the users side decides to actually follow the contacts and such in the SIP
headers...

As long as you arent Œfixing¹ the RTP ports or over stepping what ports are
available for the RTP stream, the SDP is unaffected (or can be worked around
using a smaller/different range for rtp ports in switch.conf.xml
